Q: I have heard about IK ratings, but don't know what they mean. Can you explain what the purpose is and what the rating of this fitting is please and if it's any good?

A: IK rating is the degrees of protection against mechanical impacts. the IK rating scale identifies the ability of an enclosure to resist impact energy levels measured in joules (J) and is scored from 00 to 10. 00 being not protected, up to 10 which is 20J. This fitting is rated at IK10 so it is very good.

Q: I have set the microwave fitting to the following positions with the dip switches, can you tell me what the function of the fitting would be, please?

Detection area is at 100%
3 minute hold time
Daylight sensor is disabled (works regardless of light level)
30sec stand by time
Stand by dimming level at 25%

Q: I have installed one of your microwave fittings however the fitting will not turn itself off, is it faulty?

A: No, you have dip switches 6 & 7 set to infinite. Refer to the instructions and change these dip switches to another setting.

Q: I am wanting to install these for perimeter lighting around a church, but unfortunately they look a bit plain and the customer wants something a bit more eye-catching. Do you have anything else that would match their requirement, please?

A: As an optional extra for these fittings we supply eyelid covers which create a much more decorative front which may be of interest. Unfortunately, we don't have an alternative for your intended application other than this due to the IP rating of our other fittings.
